17. 6. Fashion in our café
We would like to invite you for a charity event in our café. On Tuesday June 22nd 9:00 am - 9:00 pm the Sue Ryder organization will be offering high quality fashion and accessories for afordable prices. All the money raised will be used to support the elders living in one of the Sue Ryder homes accross Czech Republic. Come to support a good cause!
4. 6. We've got fresh coffee

22. 5. Exhibition invitation
Our café is newly decorated by paintings from Martina Staňková - an artist who worked on several theatre performances, including Tracy's tiger at the Theatre Nablízko.
5. 5. Etiopian coffee ceremony
We invite you to the traditional Etiopian coffee ceremony which will take place in our cafe on Londýnská street 49 on Saturday May 8th. It is the day of worldwide fairtrade celebrations and mamacoffee is proud to be one of the organizers of the weekly long fairtrade celebrations accross the Czech Republic. 20 . 4. Coffee and books
We would like to invite you for the second meeting of lovers of good coffee and books. This time we invited Hana Michopulu, the creator and ex-editor-in-chief of the Apetit magazine. Aprt from other activities, Hana organizes market of local food producers, she loves good quality food and teaches the Czechs how to enjoy it. Her new book Back to home is just being realeased now.

13. 4. "Summer house" exhibition
Czech NGO Letní dům (summer house in English) prepared an exhibition for our café and three other cafeterias around Prague. The theme of exhibition in Vodičkova is: Colour as relaxation - painting together. All of the paintings are made by young people living in children homes. You can see the exhibition between April 14th and May 5th. Check out also the paintings in our other café Technika.
4. 4. 2010 We are open on Easter!
On Ea ster Monday we open at 10 am. Come to taste our freshly roasted coffee and homemade cakes and pastries.
16. 3. 2010 Coffee & books
Inspired by all the good books we come across, we decided to start the Book Club. In the first meeting on Sunday March 28th we will meet Pepper de Callier, author of the book Common Sense Wisdom. Mr. Callier has more than 25 years' experience in retained executive search and executive coaching. Before joining Bubenik Partners as Chairman, he worked on top positions for many international companies (Microsoft, Nokia, Vodafone, etc.). You can read his weekly column he used to publish at artners.cz/columns.php" target="_blank">Hospodářské noviny or at the Aktualne.cz server. If you would like to know a little bit about Mr. Callier's inspiration, have a look at the Daniel Goleman's book Emotional inteligence.

8. 3. Come and play with us! lt;/p>
We invite all the kids and their parents to the gameday in our café. On Saturday March 20th we will be playing the Kiumbos game starting 10:00 am. During the day you will have a chance to win DVDs and books. The event is organized in cooperation with Shinebean organization.
28. 2. New coffee and life coffe plant!
We would like to offer you two types of freshly roasted coffee beans, especially selected and organically grown to please your taste buds. Colombian EXCELSO (100g for 68 CZK) suprises you with creamy and almost sweet taste, while Bolivian PRIMERA CALIDAD (100g for 66 CZK) has honey-like taste with a slightly spicy aftertaste. Both can be bought in our café or online at our online store.
Another great news is that the family of Mr. Vagner donated their beautiful 10 years old Coffee plant to our café, so you can come to see a large plant with real coffee seeds!

3. 2. 2010 waiting for... new type of coffee
We are awaiting new shipment of fresh coffee beans straight from Bolivia. We will inform you as soon as it arrives into our café.In the meantime, try a new way of drinking coffee from a French press. French press is an elegant way of drinking strong coffee from a coffeepot in which ground beans are infused and then pressed to the bottom by means of a plunger. You can get a pot with two cups and hot milk for 59 CZK. Enjoy!
4. 1. 2010 Knitting, knitting, good coffee drinking...
We invite you for a knitting workshop, where you can learn how to knit your own scarf or hat. Our lectors will teach you basic and advanced knitting skills, all levels are welcome. You can bring your own knitting gear or borrow ours, chooding one of the pingouin materials. Thanks to the mamacoffee team you can learn all this for freee every Tuesday during January and February, starting January 5th. The workshop is led by lectors from the www.originalmoda.com.

13. 11. 2009 Papelote in our Café
We like fresh ideas and nice paper, especially if it's recycled. That's why we decided to bring papelote to our Café. Starting Monday November 16th we will have selected range of their products for sale. Papelote is a growing collective of young Czech illustrators, designers, architects, artists and kids who like paper and use it in some way a lot. Their products are simply original and just looking at them brings fresh isnpiration. We hope you like them!
11. 11. 2009 Workshop Invitation
Christmas time is approaching fast and Christmas decorations appear out of nowhere. We are not big fans of plastic Christmas trees and such, but what about a real, handmade Advent Wreath, made by yourself? Come to our workshop of Advent Wreath making which we organize on the last weekend of November. Bring your children and come to enjoy a good fairtrade coffee, hand made cakes and a bit of Advent atmosphere.
